Krypton Far-UVC (222nm) light products will be situated alongside normal lighting in medical, elderly care, industrial, commercial, retail, and household facilities to dramatically reduce or eliminate the incidence or spread of common colds and flu, hospital acquired chemical or antibiotic resistant microbes (MRSA or C Diff) and more virulent infectious diseases such as COVID-19, SARS, MERS or Ebola, Our mission is to continuously maintain and improve the quality of life for people everywhere and provide universal infectious disease mitigation. How Does Krypton Far – UVC (222nm) Work? Krypton Far-UVC (222nm) light is the first safe, effective, autonomous, and continuous disinfection system for occupied spaces. While the best current alternative for sanitation in occupied spaces requires workers to constantly wipe down chairs, counters, and any other surface between contacted with each Individual, it is not practical in practice, puts those workers at risk, and is subject to human error, like mission sports. Not to mentioned, wiping surfaces down does not address the airborne theat at all.
Safe for Humans Krypton Far-UVC (222nm) light does not penetrate human and / or animal skin or eyes. UV-C lamps commonly available today are known to be carcinogenic and harmful to the skin and eyes. They connot sanitize human tissue or occupied spaces without causing adverse effects and long-term damage. Krypton Far-UVC (222nm) lighting is much safer for humans and animals Although Krypton Far-UVC (222nm) light can penetrate and kill bacteria such as MRSA, it is unable to penetrate the nucleaus of human cells. UV from conventional 254nm lamps can penetrate and damage sensitive cells in the epidermis. Credit: Dr. David Brenner, Columbia University Medical Center. Effective for Sanitizing Krypton Far-UVC (222nm) lamps are superior to existing UV sanitation systems (typically operating at 254nm) in occupied spaces for a very simple reason: Legacy UV-C sanitation systems are ineffective at disinfecting surfaces and air in occupied spaces because the kill mechanism allows pathogens to be reactivated by UV-A lights, which includeds sunlight, fluorescent lights, and other light soruces after sanitation. Krypton Far-UVC (222nm) disinfection treatment completely destroys bacteria and viruses Krypton Far-UVC (222nm) light competely eradicate single-cell organisms, with less energy and with no photoreactivation. Krypton light primarily kills microbes by resonating with the proteins in the microbe’s outer membrane causing it to fail, rather than just the DNA itself. Krypton Far-UVC (222nm) UV Light Applications Far-UVC 222nm is working hard to enable new industry standards for safety and raise awareness of this groundbreaking new air and surface disinfection technology, providing much more practical, safe, and efficient salutions for large important markets and applications including:
*************************************************************************** Boeing and Far UV Technologies Enter a Licensing Agreement for Ultraviolet Wand Technology Kansas city, Mo, October 13, 2020- Boeing (NYSE: BA) entered into a patent and technology license with Missouri base Far UV Technologies to manufacture a Far Ultraviolet (222nm) wand designed to sanitize airplane flight decks and interiors. Boeing designed and developed the technology as part of the company’s Confident Travel Initiative (CTI) to support customers and enhance the safety and well-being of passengers and crew members during the COVID-19 pandemic. *************************************************************************** Far UV Technologies Wins Grant from NASA June 30, 2020 – Far UV Technologies has been awarded an SBIR contract titled “innovative Disinfection Method to Prevent Foodborne Illness in Spacefight” https://sbir.nasa.gov/SBIR/abstracts/18/sbir/phase1/SBIR-18-1-H12.04-1115.html *************************************************************************** Far UV Technologies Wins Award from Department of Defense May 25, 2018 – Far UV Technologies wins Award for the US Army’s Expeditionary Technology Search Competition for “Far UV Counter measures for infections wounds” *************************************************************************** Far UV Technologies Secures US Air Force Contract June 30, 2020 – Far UV Technologies was awarded a Direct to Phase II SBIR project to install and demonstrate “Krypton Disinfection Lighting” in US Air Force facilities and in aircarft applications. Far UV Technologies is providing air and surface disinfection technology to better protect the Air Force and the rest of the defense community from COVID and other biological threats. Columbia University Irving Medical Center will also be providing independent safety testing and analysis. *************************************************************************** Barons Bus sees UV light as ‘the best way’ to Disinfect Coaches The Cleveland-based Barons Bus is the first U.S. motorcoach operator to install FAR UV Lighting in its vehicles. The fixtures are mounted inside the bus and continuously sanitize air with UV light “We have the ability to continuously disinfect while the bus is going down the road. That’s very different from the sprays and everything else, just because you have to wait until people get off so you can respray versus this light has the ability to continuously disinfect as the bus traveling down the road,” Barons Vice President Patrick Goebel said. “It’s also safe for human skin and human eyes, which is different from the other UV lighting, as well. So that’s really what caught our attention.”
